Language Learning World is edited and maintained by Terry Roberts.

As a boy, Terry had the great fortune to attend Spalding Grammar School, where his passion for languages was instilled in him by two excellent teachers, of French and Spanish. Before beginning university, he spent 9 months in Madrid - where he found his second passion: for Madrid, Spain, its people and its language. After graduating from Cambridge University, where he was awarded a degree in Modern and Mediaeval Languages, he returned to Madrid and has lived there almost ever since.

Terry’s career has been linked to language teaching and learning for over 35 years, during which time he has found himself in the role of student, teacher, director of studies, translator, examiner, language auditor, lecturer, teacher-trainer and entrepreneur!

At present Terry works as Lecturer in English Applied to Business Studies at the Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros in Madrid (www.cunef.edu), and also runs his own business, arranging language travel for residents of Spain, Mexico, Chile and Argentina (www.estudiosinternacionales.com).

Terry has created this website, LanguageLearningWorld.com, as an attempt to instill in others his great love for languages - he hopes you find it interesting and, above all, he hopes it encourages you, and helps you, to experience the wonderful world of learning a foreign language.
